Descriptif :

Terrestrial vegetation is an important carbon reservoir and offers opportunities to sequester more carbon. Supporting ground-based measurements and the people who make them is essential for mapping and monitoring the Earth’s forest carbon.

Coordinator of the GEO-TREES initiative. This initiative aims to fund high-accuracy ground data for satellite-derived biomass mapping from a global network of long-term forest inventories, and to make these data accessible to all.
